Inspired by the fable ‘The Hen with the Golden Eggs’, this Cuvée, made from a majority of Pinot Meunier, with a little Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, vinified partly under wood, reveals an invigorating nose with evolved hints of wax, a creamy, fresh and long palate with aromas of flowers and ripe fruit with a touch of tobacco.
This Cuvée is an authentic gem with a touch of history: in fact, the Maison faithfully produces the oldest Cuvée in the Marne Valley.
GRAPE VARIETIES: 73% Pinot Meunier, 16% Chardonnay, 11% Pinot Noir.
YEARS OF HARVEST: 2016 and reserve 2015.
ORIGIN: 7 villages in the Marne Valley.
CHARACTERISTICS: Fresh, elegant, structured.
VINIFICATION: Made in stainless steel vats in the noble Champagne tradition.
AGING: 2 to 3 years in the cellar.
AVAILABLE FORMATS: Half bottle ( 375 ml ), bottle (750 ml) and magnum (150 cl).
FOOD & WINE PAIRING: Ideal as an aperitif but also with shellfish, sushi or a lemon meringue pie.
